Our Hygienists

The Registered Dental Hygienists at the Family Dental Center play an important role in dental health and overall health education of our patients. Your visit will include diagnostic X-rays, as well as screenings for oral cancer, TMJ, periodontal disease, and cavities. After assessing your periodontal health, a thorough cleaning will be performed followed by oral hygiene instructions. Our hygienists also provide non-surgical periodontal treatment, apply sealants, and administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide.

Amber

I began working at Family Dental Center in February of 2010 but started working in the dental field as an assistant to a dental hygienist in 2004. Now as a hygienist myself, I get to educate and motivate my patients about their oral health. I love meeting new and interesting people every day. It is very rewarding to have a patient become more motivated to take care of their teeth and to become excited about their oral health. Outside the office I enjoy spending time with my fiancé, Blake, our puppy, Oliver, and my family. A few of my hobbies include knitting, crocheting, and reading, especially if I'm lying outside on a hammock on a beautiful spring day.

Bobbi

I graduated from Missouri Southern State College in Joplin, MO in 2003 and joined the Family Dental Center team in 2006. My patients are by far my favorite part of my job. I absolutely love to visit with them and genuinely care about their well-being. I find it very exciting and rewarding to be a part of improving someone’s smile. I think we have the best dentists in the area. Not only do they have amazing talent in dentistry, but they also really caring people. I have been married nine years and have two amazing daughters.

My dental career began back in 1989 and I became one of the Family Dental Center's hygienists in 1995. I have the great opportunity to work with some of the nicest people I've ever had the chance to meet, and coming to work every day is truly a joy. I've also enjoyed getting to know all our patients and their families over the years as I help them improve and maintain their oral health. I am happily married with one daughter and two dogs. In my free time I enjoy snow skiing, boating, playing the piano, and spending quality time with my family.

Jennifer M.

I love building relationships with my patients as I help to improve their oral health. I've worked at the Family Dental Center since 2002 and now think of this office as my second family. Everyone here is caring, supportive, and fun; I feel very fortunate to work with such a great team. I am married to my high school sweetheart and have two amazing, active children. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, and anything involving the outdoors.

Jenny

I started working in dentistry in 1996 as a dental assistant, working my way through dental hygiene school, and eventually joining this team in 2002. I love meeting new people from all walks of life and building a wonderful friendship with them over the years. Giving patients insight as to how their oral health affects their overall health is very rewarding as well. Each of our doctors has a unique personality that makes this practice run efficiently. They are all very kind hearted, respectful, and truly love what they do! My husband and I share an interest in the dental field as he is a dentist in Berryville, AR.  We have two sons and enjoy following the Razorbacks, going to the lake, and working in our yard.

Julie M.

While I joined this office in 2004, my career in dentistry began in 1977. I have always enjoyed getting to know new people. Not only are they my patients, they are my friends as well. All of my doctors I work with are truly caring people. They are genuinely interested in quality care for their patients. We also have fun and laugh at work, making every day a lot of fun! I enjoy traveling with my husband, George, and working in our garden at home. Spending time with my family is very important to me. I have one son, Chesley, and daughter-in-law, Ashley, one daughter, Jordan, and a son-in-law, Seth. I also have the most amazing grandson named Easton. I spend my free time playing tennis, and Molly, my Yorkshire Terrier, is my little shadow. My church family at Johnson keeps me focused on what’s really important as well.

Valerie

I've been at Family Dental Center for over 13 years, and in that time I've been able to care for second and third generations of so many families. I get to personally see each generation become more comfortable with being at the dentist, as well as healthier and better educated about dental diseases and treatment. I truly believe we're creating a new generation of patients who are no longer nervous about a dental visit and even enjoy their time with us! I love that, without a doubt, I trust my doctors’ judgment and the quality of their work. It's so much easier to talk to a patient about treatment they need when you totally believe in your doctors and their expertise. I've been married to my husband, Ron, for nearly 14 years. We have two young sons that keep us very busy. We've lived in Fayetteville since college and now spend our time on a few acres outside of town. At any given time we may have a few cows, goats, chickens, or rabbits. Life is never boring!

Our Dental Assistants

Our dental assistants strive to create a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere while maintaining a safe and sterile environment for every patient. It is their goal to provide you with the utmost in patient care when assisting the doctor. Each assistant possesses a friendly, professional attitude and is eager to establish a trusting relationship with you and your family. From educating you on your oral health to making you comfortable during your visit, our assistants want to make your dental appointment a pleasant experience.

Ashton

I have been Dr. Johnson’s assistant since 2011. I enjoy learning new things and working with such a great team. Everyone here is really nice and always puts our patients’ needs first. Our doctors are great teachers and pleasant to be around as well. When I’m not at work, I enjoy outside activities, learning, reading, and being around children.

Heather

I assist Dr. Tinnin and our other dentists in addition to helping to keep the office running by keeping up with lab work, instruments, and other necessary functions. I love everything about my job, especially the wonderful people I have the chance to work with every day. Our doctors are very appreciative of everyone in the office, which makes for a great work environment. I am passionate about my work and my family. In my free time I enjoy running and anything outdoors.

Jamie

I’ve been one of Dr. Harris’ assistants since 2011. I love getting to know each of our patients on a personal level so I can help make them feel as comfortable as possible during their dental appointment. The doctors in our office are amazing! They have wonderful, friendly, smiling personalities, and they make it easy to come to work every day. I feel truly blessed to be a part of this team. At home, I have four kids, one dog, a turtle, and a wonderful man. In my free time I love to draw, paint, read books, and spend as much time with my family as possible.

My favorite part of my job is getting to help Dr. Martin make our patients smile. Seeing what a difference a smile can make in our patients’ lives is truly amazing. Dr. Martin and the rest of our doctors are really nice and a lot of fun to work with, but most importantly, they take our patients’ health very seriously. My hobbies are gardening, cooking, reading, and spending time with my daughter and husband.

I love meeting new patients and catching up with them when they come in for their treatments or checkups. Dr. Martin truly amazes me every day with his knowledge and skills in the dental field. He makes me so proud to say I work for him. I know first-hand how great Dr. Martin is; he has been my own dentist for my entire life! I am originally from Southeast Arkansas. I have a wonderful family that still resides there but I am happy to work in Northwest Arkansas with a team that I think of as my second family. I love my family, many friends, reading, and Arkansas Razorback football!

Our Office Team

Our goal for every patient that visits Family Dental Center is to provide a welcoming atmosphere and a comfortable dental experience. As the first patient contact, our scheduling coordinators greet each and every patient with friendly, enthusiastic attitudes. They make courtesy calls to confirm your upcoming appointments and do their best to schedule appointments that will accommodate your personal schedule. Our financial and insurance coordinators work diligently with your insurance company to provide you with estimates for your recommended treatment. They are committed to helping you understand your insurance estimates and assisting you with financial arrangements.

Coveta

Systems Manager

I started working here two weeks after the office opened in 1983. I serve as our human resource manager, bookkeeper, and business systems administrator. I have degrees in Human Resources and Sociology from the University of Arkansas. One of the things I like best about my job is the diversity. I work closely with the staff, vendors, and business associates. My favorite part is working with a caring, energetic staff that is focused on the best dental care for our patients. This includes our doctors; they are all committed to providing the best possible care for our patients. Each of them is dedicated to continuing education so they’re up to date on the latest technologies and services for our patients. My husband and I enjoy spending weekends at the lake with our friends, boating, hiking, and motorcycle riding. I also love the beach and playing tennis.

Hygiene Coordinator

I schedule patients’ hygiene appointments, answer the phones, and greet patients when they arrive at Family Dental. The people I work with are some of the most caring people I’ve ever met. Our doctors provide a fun, positive work environment for their staff and great care for our patients. In my free time I love traveling and spending time outdoors, whether I’m going to the lake, fishing, kayaking, golfing, listening to live music, or playing with my two step-dogs. I’m so happy to be living and working in beautiful northwest Arkansas, and enjoying everything it has to offer!

Financial Coordinator

I work with patients to estimate their insurance co-pays and set up financing for treatment. It is very fulfilling to work with patients and help them get the treatment they need while staying within their family’s budget. I love working with a team of doctors that have such care and compassion for their patients. They truly make the office an enjoyable place. My family and I moved to NW Arkansas in 2005 and love the area. I am married and have two daughters. We like spending our time with friends and family, being outdoors, hiking, fishing, and swimming.

Insurance Coordinator

I file and verify our patients’ insurance, help them to understand their insurance benefits, and take care of accounts receivable. My favorite part of my job is feeling that I have been able to help our patients in some way. I love that our doctors are invested in providing the best care for every patient that walks through our door. They provide a great environment for their patients and employees. My husband and I have two children. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, and reading when I can find quiet time.

Scheduling Coordinator

I can be found at our front desk, answering the phone, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and assisting patients with questions regarding care. The Family Dental Center is such a fun, social atmosphere, and many of our patients really enjoy coming in for their dental care. Everyone on our team is easy going, with great personalities and helpful attitudes. We all care about our patients’ smiles. I enjoy reading and have two great kids who are really involved in school activities. Most of my free time is happily spent watching all their activities.

Scheduling Coordinator

I have to say my favorite part of my job is the people who I am lucky enough to call my friends now. The atmosphere at FDC makes it easy to get up and go to work in the morning. If it weren’t for the happy people and fun we have there it would be a lot harder than it already is to leave my daughter. I am originally from the very small town of Rudy, AR. I loved the country but chose to join my husband when he finished school in NWA. We welcomed our beautiful daughter, Ruby, into our lives in June of 2011. In my free time I enjoy playing with Ruby, reading, and spending time with my husband and our family.

Treatment Coordinator

I collaborate with our doctors and hygienist to come up with the perfect treatment plan to accommodate our patients’ needs. I follow up with patients throughout their course of treatment to assure they have all of their questions answered and finances arranged, all the while establishing strong, lasting friendships. I love meeting new people and welcoming them into an enjoyable, loving environment while offering the best overall oral health care. Our doctors sincerely have our patients’ best interests at heart. My husband is my best friend. We love spending time at home watching our sweet son grow like a little weed and relishing in the beautiful life God has given us.
